Bus Charter - Terms and Conditions
CANCELATIONS:
Group must notify the St George Shuttle 30 days in advance to cancel.
Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the date may be subject to full price fare. Email: [email protected] for any questions.
PASSENGER BEHAVIOR:
Inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated and may result in denial of ride or dismissal from the service.
Passengers must follow these guidelines:
- No Smoking or e-cigarettes.
- No spitting.
- No unruly, disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior/conduct*.
- Poor personal hygiene can result in denial of service.
- No soliciting/loitering of any kind.
- Keep voice down when while riding the bus.
- Avoid talking on the phone. Speak softly to not affect other passengers.
- Shirtless, pant less and shoeless are not allowed! (Appropriate clothing)
- Do not block aisle on the bus
- Do not damage bus inside or out.
*Examples of inappropriate conduct are intoxication (alcohol or drug induced); physical abuse, arguing or use of foul language towards staff or passengers. Poor personal hygiene or sexual harassment. Drivers have the right to refuse any rider due to inappropriate behavior or in circumstances they feel will jeopardize safety.
PROHIBITED ITEMS:
- Firearms of all types, including handguns, rifles, shotguns. Or any device designed as an instrument to attack or defend in combat. (Law enforcement officials are exempt from the statute.)
BOARDING THE BUS
Passengers should always use caution when entering or exiting the bus. If a person thinks they may have difficulty climbing the bus steps, they should ask the driver for assistance. Passengers should always use the handrails for support when entering or exiting. They should be careful when walking up or down the steps during bad weather and be extra careful if they are boarding with young children. Passengers are advised that the steps can get slippery during rain or snowstorms.
SERVICE ANIMALS
All service animals must be either held by the passenger or put between their feet. The service animal may not block an aisle. Service animals may not occupy a passenger seat. The service animal may not disturb other passengers. It is the service animal owner’s responsibility to clean up after the service animal.
INFANTS AND CHILDREN
Infants and children must have their own seat. They must remain in seat! Please do not allow them to lie on the floor or in the aisles! Children should always be wearing a seat belt. Car seats are allowed. Must notify the front desk when booking a car seat!
ILL PASSENGERS
Due to the limited space on buses, we ask that passengers who are ill to not ride the bus. We ask that they not travel until they are healthy. If a passenger looks sick and unhealthy, the driver has the right to refuse business! If a passenger is already riding on the bus but their ill symptoms are causing issues to other passengers on the bus due to their health, the driver has the right to refuse their business and to drop them off at the next stop.
LOST AND FOUND
St George Shuttle is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. St George Shuttle will keep any current lost and found for 14 days, after this time it will be donated to a local charity.
WHEELCHAIR and OTHER MOBILITY DEVICES:
Not all buses have wheelchair lifts, all passengers using wheelchairs and other mobility devices will need to call St George Shuttle at least 15 days prior to the date that they would like to ride the bus, to secure an ADA bus (based on availability).
REFUSAL TO TRANSPORT:
St George Shuttle shall have the right to refuse to transport or shall have the
right to remove from the motor coach at any point, any customer for the
following reasons:
- Government Request or Regulations. Such as police involvement.
- Safety – Whenever refusal or removal of a customer may be necessary
for the safety of such customer or other customers or drivers, including, but not limited to:
- Persons whose conduct is disorderly, offensive, abusive, illegal, or violent.
- Persons who fail to comply with or interfere with the duties of driver.
- Persons who wear or have on a concealed or unconcealed weapon.
- Persons with a communicable disease or infection that threaten others.
LUGGAGE:
St George Shuttle is not responsible for any luggage or personal items left either inside the motor coach or underneath the luggage bays. Guests are required to load and unload their “own” luggage if they choose to take personal items on the bus.
St George Shuttle does not check luggage or provide receipts for luggage transported on the bus by the passenger. Customers are advised that St George Shuttle will accept up to TWO (2) pieces of luggage per passenger. For guidance this must not exceed 62 inches when adding the total exterior dimensions of the piece (length + width + height) and should not weigh more than 50 pounds. However, our driver may help with luggage, but he is not required to lift any luggage over 25 pounds. Therefore, please be prepared to load luggage if needed! Additional fees apply to golf clubs, bike boxes, or oversized luggage and luggage more than 50 pounds.
We also recommend that you label your luggage with your name, address, and contact number. No refunds will be issued in respect of travel plans canceled by the customer as a result of their excess luggage being refused.
LIMITATIONS TO LIABILITY:
St George Shuttle assumes no liability for the loss or damage of baggage! If you have something very valuable, we request that you keep it with you at all times instead of loading it with the luggage.
St George Shuttle shall not be liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by:
- The act or default by the passenger;
- The nature of the property or defect therein.
- Traffic.
- Accidents, breakdowns, or bad road conditions.
- Any other thing that occurs that is beyond the control of the St George
Shuttle.
BREAKDOWN POLICY:
If for some reason beyond the control of St George Shuttle, a mechanical failure makes necessary the replacement of a bus originally assigned to the charter service, the replacement bus may be of a different type that will accommodate all passenger seating needs. St George Shuttle will fix or replace a motor coach within 4 hours of delay. Compensation will be given to the chartering party if delay is longer than the 4-hour allotted time.
